BEAUTIFUL HAIR YOUR CROWNING GLORY

Gorgeous Hair
It amazes me how often I see a fashionably dressed woman yet her hair is dull and lifeless or worse, dirty. With a proliferation of advertisements about hair products you'd think every woman would have beautiful hair. Not so! As a matter of fact hair loss and baldness is quite a common problem for women. When Edgar Cayce addressed the occurrence of hair loss and baldness in women he pointed out that a high protein diet should be your first and foremost consideration. "Improvement in the diet should include soup from the peelings of Irish potatoes. Add more often the raw vegetables such as lettuce, celery, water cress, radishes, onions, mustard greens. Carrots will make better conditions in combination with these for the sparkle of the ye and for the general vision." (4086-1). Overwork, major surgery, a long illness and specific medical conditions such as Alopecia areata can also contribute to hair loss.
The Crude Oil Remedy
According to Cayce basic massage of the scalp with crude oil will aid scalp circulation. He reommended that crude oil massage and it should be done once or twice a month and that this would be sufficient to renew the cells that produce stimulation through the general distribution of the circulatory forces of the body. You may be repulsed by the words "crude oil" but let me explain. Crude oil is not the kind you get at a gas station, so take a breather and relax. The consumer friendly formula of Crude Oil products and Crudoleum shampoos and cleansers are available today at the Edgar Cayce boutique at the A.R.E. New York (Edgar Cayce) Center in New York City at 241 W. 30th Street, http://www.arenyc.org/ or call 212.691.7690.
In answering the question about what oil should be used on the scalp he said:
"The crude oils are the most satisfactory for stimulating the scalp, to prevent falling hair, to add luster, and to stimulate the growth." (276-4) "Each time after the crude oil massage, when the oil is rubbed in, cleanse same with a twenty percent solution of (grain) alcohol (with) water added. (480-23). This will thicken the hair and bring better conditions to the scalp.(4501-1)
To massage the scalp he recommended: "Place the fingertips of both hands on the scalp. Then move the scalp up an down and round in circles." He also cautioned, "Do not move the fingers in a rubbing motion, the purpose is to loosen the scalp from the skull and increase circulation."
Head-and-Neck Exercise
Another very easy way to maintain beautiful, luxuriant hair is the head-and-neck exercise I do every half hour as I sit working at my computer. It not only relieves neck tension but it also stimulates circulation. Just gently and slowly move your head from front center over to the right shoulder continue rolling over to the back, transversing to the left shoulder and returning to front center. Similarly, reverse the rolling motion and as you do this feel the tension dissolve and circulation improving. Do this exercise at least six time each way. Good any time of the day for that matter when you need to boost your energy and circulation.
You owe it to yourself to have beautiful, clean, shiny hair. Of course, the wealth of hair products out in the marketplace are overwhelming and it is sometimes not easy to find the right one, but Edgar Cayce's natural remedies seem to have outlasted commercial products. It's worth a try. I do it myself and so often I am asked, "Where do you get your hair done, it looks so beautiful?" I reply rather sheepishly, "I do it in Polly's kitchen Sink." Stunned by my answer, they ask, "Oh, where is that?" I reply, "I mean I do it myself with Crudoleum." It's the truth but everyone laughs. Having beautiful hair, however, is not a laughing matter, it is a matter of choice.
